(KITV Honolulu: Sat, 09 Feb) HONOLULU -- Mayor Mufi Hannemann signed a new law that exempts photovoltaic solar energy systems from city permit fees. That could mean a break of several hundred dollars to homes and businesses installing the systems. What consumers save will depend on the size of the system.
