The federal Million Solar Roofs program wants to install solar energy systems on one million buildings nationwide by 2010. The Chapel Hill Million Solar Roofs Initiative Steering Committee, part of the campaign, was appointed by the Town Council to help achieve a local goal of 500 solar energy buildings.
