Housing authority proposes new project
(Sunbury Daily Item) After completing the multi-million dollar housing development Alvira Place in Great Stream Commons last year, the Union County Housing Authority is ready for its next big project.The Union County commissioners gave their endorsement Tuesday for the housing authority to seek $500,000 in federal aid for a similar housing project in Lewisburg.According to Jere Engle, director of the housing authority, the project would include plans for an energy-efficient duplex home to be built on a property along Market Street.
